Striper opening day 2025!

Striped bass opening day has come and gone! With the actual winter that we had this year, we had our doubts that fish would be active. From the reports that are coming in, we were wrong! Water temps have finally broken into the 40's and the action has kicked off.

We started seeing and hearing reports not long after sunrise. The rivers are absolutely on fire right now! A great amount of GIANT white perch and keeper sized bass were caught yesterday. Most fish were caught on bloods and some on clams. The surprising part there was a decent amount of fish caught on soft plastics. Middle and great egg river seem to be the hotspots. Focus on deeper holes where the water will be much warmer at the bottom.

Perch has been the ticket by far. Some of the biggest perch we have seen in recent years are flooding our rivers. Bloodworms and grass shrimp are best, also focusing on the deeper warmer water.  We had some rough wind the past week causing temps to drop a little bit, but they are coming up again and action will pick back up.

We have officially opened back up for the 2025 season! We are open Thursday - Monday for the month of march. 9am - 3pm Sunday and 9am - 5pm every other day. Shout out to Allen Fennimore for the picture, he has absolutely been crushing it up the rivers over the past week. Hammering big perch and keeper sized bass.
