Fishing report for 09/27/24
Here is the fishing report for 09/27/24. While the surf has been pretty chewed up with high current and rough waves, there still has been some action when fishable.
Surf on average has been over 4 foot. We seem to get a reprieve today, but after today it builds again. spot, croakers and kings have still been around especially on bloods or fishbites. Schoolie bass have still been holding around the jetties on soft plastics. Small bluefish have been making their way into the surf fairly heavily using cut mullet.
Back bay on the other hand has really been turning on. Spot and croaker are still all around the bay on bloods and fishbites. Small blues have been chasing the mullet with some small bass mixed in. Started receiving reports of gator blues pushing into the inlets at night averaging about 15lbs. Striper have been around the bridges at night on soft plastics. Bigger bass have been caught live-lining spot around the lights at night. The big story has been tog, they have been hot and heavy around the piers and bridges. Green crabs and sandfleas (frozen or live) have been best.
Shout out to Matt Myers for bringing in these two keepers with his son MD Myers, these were caught in the bay on greencrab.
